
Fire Suppression Support Technician

The Fire Suppression Support Technician is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with the testing, inspection, and basic maintenance of fire suppression systems. The technician works under direct supervision and is not expected to independently perform inspections or testing.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with the testing, inspection, and basic maintenance of fire suppression systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and special hazard systems.
Support the inspection of valves, gauges, piping, sprinkler heads, alarm connections, and related suppression system components.
Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
Help perform basic functional testing and visual inspections of suppression systems.
Assist with documenting inspection results, deficiencies, and job site conditions.
Follow all company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Travel to job sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
No minimum experience necessary.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn fire suppression systems.
Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Ability to work effectively in team environments.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Use of hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
