he Test & Inspect Technician is responsible for performing inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of fire protection systems. This includes fire extinguishers, kitchen hood suppression systems, and industrial fire protection systems. The role operates with full competency in core technical responsibilities and can complete standard assignments without direct supervision.The technician ensures all systems function properly, meet customer expectations, and comply with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities also include supporting extinguisher inspection, service, and maintenance, hood inspection, service, maintenance, and installation, and industrial suppression inspection and maintenance services to ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of fire suppression systems including Extinguisher, kitchen hoods and other industrial systems.
Perform functional testing to verify proper system operation and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings clearly to customers and supervisors.
Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, inspection reports, and technical manuals.
Complete inspection reports, deficiency documentation, and service records accurately and on time.
Travel to job sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a Kentucky state suppression license.
3+ years of experience in fire suppression standards products.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
Strong working knowledge of fire suppression systems and inspection procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.
Experience with commercial fire suppression systems and inspection compliance requirements preferred.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Use of hand tools and testing equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
