Treatment Operator

What you'll be responsible for

As a Wastewater Treatment Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our wastewater treatment plants operate at peak efficiency while meeting all contractual and legislative obligations. You'll work independently and as part of a team to maintain the best possible effluent quality and keep our facilities running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment (planned, routine, and breakdown maintenance)
• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with discharge quality standards and resource consents
• Perform fault-finding and repairs on mechanical equipment using workshop tools
• Generate work orders and organise consumables, materials, and spares
• Identify and escalate maintenance and process issues promptly
• Participate in on-call duty rosters
• Contribute to Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Management Systems
• Work at remote locations as required
• Share knowledge and collaborate with internal staff
