Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Government Affairs, the Senior Manager, Public Affairs will:
- Develop, implement, and lead comprehensive media and advocacy strategies for Supermicro’s reputational and policy priorities with media and critical stakeholders, in partnership with the Senior Director, Corporate Communications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on external narrative, ensuring Supermicro’s voice, tone, and strategic priorities are communicated with discipline with government, third-party stakeholders and media.
- Build integrated external affairs campaigns that mobilize media/reporters, third-party validators, coalition partners, and grasstops advocates in support of the company’s priorities.
- Monitor state and federal legislation, regulation, and policy developments, and gather the testimonials, customer stories, and data points needed to support Supermicro’s response.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications and relevant departments on public affairs policy outreach efforts.
- Cultivate relationships with beat reporters (e.g., Sacramento, DC, technology, trade, and policy press) with Senior Director of Government Affairs.
