General Description
The Seasonal Student – AI & Automation Support will assist in the development, migration, and implementation of generative AI tools, chatbot solutions, and automation initiatives across various business units. This role provides hands-on experience working with modern AI technologies, Microsoft Azure services, chatbot platforms, and Power Automate Desktop Premium. The student will work closely with internal technical teams, business units, and external partners, including Microsoft, to support the successful delivery of key digital transformation projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Chatbot Configuration Migration (Service Center & Title units)
• Assist in migrating chatbot configurations developed outside the Popular tenant into Popular’s internal development environment.
• Recreate or import components, intents, and flows ensuring functional equivalency with the original configuration.
• Support deployments to Development, Testing/QA, and Production environments following established change management processes.
• Conduct validation and functional testing after each migration phase.
• Document configuration steps, issues encountered, and resolutions.
Documentation and Quality Assurance Support
• Prepare and maintain updated technical documentation, including configuration guides, user documentation, and operational materials.
• Execute test cases and assist in identifying, tracking, and resolving defects.
• Contribute to internal review materials, demonstrations, and training resources.
Development of Generative AI Chatbot for Claims Unit
• Collaborate in gathering requirements with the Claims Unit, IT teams, and Microsoft partners.
• Support the design and prototyping of a new chatbot integrating Azure-based generative AI services.
• Participate in the development of prompt flows, knowledge integrations, and testing scenarios.
• Assist in documenting architectural decisions, workflows, and configuration specifications.
• Contribute to pilot testing and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Automation Development Using Power Automate Desktop Premium
• Support the design and development of automation agents to streamline Title Study processes and Dwelling Policy quotation workflows for Popular Mortgage.
• Analyze current manual processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automation logic.
• Document automation flows, triggers, error handling procedures, and operational guidelines.
Education
60 credits approved from a University or accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and related experience

The candidate must be currently enrolled in studies to be eligible.
Experience
The following is preferred:
- Exposure to Power Automate Desktop or similar RPA tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or cloud technologies.
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and documentation writing skills in Spanish and English.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts, chatbot platforms, or automation tools.
- Ability to read and create process documentation and simple technical diagrams.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs.
