Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s WTA Machine Seibi Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Technician
The primary responsibility of this role is to confirm, inspect, install, and Program Body weld equipment, ensuring the equipment is safe and ready for production for new model launches at Toyota NAMCs across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Reporting to Joshua McGuire or Greg Terry, the person in this role will support the WTA Machine Seibi department's objective of confirming the installation and launch of the safest, most reliable production equipment in the body weld shop.
What you’ll be doing
Confirm installation by construction team
Ensure all equipment meets safety and production needs based off of engineering specifications.
Online and offline Robot and PLC programming
Troubleshooting, Hosing, wiring, other similar activities
Equipment modifications, Kaizen the process to improve its productivity.
What you bring
2-year degree or higher in industrial maintenance, applied manufacturing or similar field
Toyota WTA (Weld/Paint/Assembly) Seibi experience
Industrial Controls Engineering/Engineering Tech experience in a manufacturing environment, including equipment installation, modification, and optimization
Experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
Proficiency with PLC
Technical experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting
Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading
Working experience with Servo Motion Controllers (M-Code or SFC)
Experience in pre-production set up
Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns, including business travel, both domestic and international, up to 75% during peak times
