Visual / Graphic Designer

Description

Our client is seeking a Visual / Graphic Designer to join their digital experience team.

This is a high-priority role focused on delivering exceptional web and product design work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidates will have 4 to 7+ years of experience in the digital space, with a strong foundation in user-centered design principles and formal training in visual design. A significant portion of their experience should be in web page design, and experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) .

Candidates should be proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with hands-on experience conducting page audits, competitor analyses, and creating mock-ups. A solid understanding of HTML and CSS is required, particularly in the context of accessibility and developer collaboration. Experience building components and libraries within design systems, working on rebranding initiatives, and pitching mood boards or design directions to stakeholders is also important.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1. UX/UI Visual Design (Enterprise Product & Web)

Strong UX/UI design execution, not just visual polish

Ability to design user‑centric interfaces that balance usability, accessibility, and brand

Experience working on large, regulated enterprise platforms (e.g., financial services)

Comfortable inheriting existing work and improving it rather than redesigning from scratch

2. Design Systems Expertise (UX + UI Components)

Hands‑on experience building, maintaining, or scaling UX/UI design systems

Deep understanding of:

-Component libraries

-Pattern usage

-Accessibility standards

-Cross‑team consistency

Ability to work efficiently within an existing system (not just concept design)

3. AEM‑Informed UX/UI Design (CMS‑Aware Design)

UX/UI design experience within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) - MUST HAVE USED AEM IN A PREVIOUS ROLE

Understanding of CMS constraints, templates, components, and content models

Ability to design components that are:

-CMS‑friendly

-Scalable

-Easily reviewed and handed off to dev/content teams

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
