Controls Lead – Capital Markets

We’re partnering with a top-tier Canadian bank to hire a US Controls Lead within their Capital Markets team.

This is a hands-on role focused on expanding an existing controls framework into US regulatory requirements (PARATUS), requiring strong expertise in both regulations and control execution

Responsibilities:

• Own and execute regulatory controls end-to-end (design, testing, remediation)
• Translate US regulations (e.g., CCAR, Dodd-Frank, Reg W, Volcker) into practical control frameworks
• Conduct control testing (design & operating effectiveness)
• Lead RCSAs, issue resolution, and control improvements
• Partner directly with Capital Markets stakeholders (trading, IB, treasury)
• Support regulatory reviews and governance reporting

Must Haves:

• 10+ years’ experience in operational risk / regulatory controls/governance
• Strong hands-on experience with US Capital Markets regulations
• Proven experience in the First Line of Defense (1A/1B)
• Expertise in:
  • Control design & testing
  • RCSAs and control frameworks
  • Issue management & remediation
• Solid understanding of Capital Markets and trading environments

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
