The Warehouse Specialist supports Supply Chain by assisting with inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely logistics, and a well-organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility of inventory, products, and packing materials.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies.
- Process transactions in SAP, including: Shipping and receiving, Inventory transfers and expense tracking, Weekly cycle counts and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including real-time updates of stock levels and product movement.
- Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, packing, and staging for outbound logistics.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to services operations order.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to Southwire safety policies and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently (if applicable).
- Collaborate with Operations and team members to support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Education: High School Diploma
Required Experience: 1 -3 years
Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates:
- Must have basic computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, Data Entry, SAP Preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and shipping and receiving processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Forklift operation
