Senior Inspector QA/QC MEP is responsible for ensuring that mechanical construction and installation activities are executed in full compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and compliant facilities within EPC and mission‑critical project environments.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Review project requirements and determine applicable quality procedures, inspection plans, schedules, and testing activities for the assigned mechanical scope
  • Interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Monitor mechanical construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, codes, and recognised good engineering practice
  • Perform and witness mechanical inspections and functional checks, including mechanical completion checks for pressure and atmospheric vessels
  • Execute specific inspections and tests such as tray inspections (dimensional checks, water‑tightness tests), hydrostatic tank testing, and pad settlement measurements
  • Control equipment installation, including alignment and leveling activities
  • Witness tests, inspections, and controls, maintain inspection status within the area of responsibility, and authorise acceptance upon quality control completion
  • Prepare and file quality records and inspection documentation, and support analysis and reporting of performed activities
  • Assist senior quality personnel in validation and verification activities

Show your expertise

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on construction experience on EPC projects, preferably within processing, industrial, or mission‑critical environments
  • Sound knowledge of recognised engineering regulations, codes, and standards (e.g. DoT 49 CFR Part 192, Mechanical Integrity standards), including risk‑based inspection principles and techniques
  • Experience in documenting quality assurance activities, internal reporting, and audits
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within site teams
  • Good time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise and work systematically
  • Assertive, quality‑focused mindset with attention to detail and compliance
