Position Summary
The Supervisor of Neuromodulation Services (NMC) is a registered professional nurse responsible for supervisory oversight and coordination of clinical and operational activities for Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Esketamine (ESK), and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services.
This role provides leadership to ensure quality, coordinated, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice standards.
The Supervisor maintains a 50% staffing commitment, delivering direct patient care and supporting daily operations, while also providing leadership, staff supervision, and program oversight in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and medical staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Oversight
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of Neuromodulation Services (ECT, ESK, TMS)
  • Ensures safe, efficient delivery of treatments in alignment with evidence-based standards
  • Coordinates clinical workflow, patient scheduling, and interdisciplinary collaboration (psychiatry, anesthesia, pharmacy)
  • Maintains regulatory compliance and supports survey readiness
Direct Patient Care (50%)
  • Provides direct patient care approximately 50% of scheduled time
  • Administers and supports neuromodulation treatments as clinically appropriate
  • Assists with patient flow and staffing coverage based on acuity and volume
  • Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff
Quality & Performance Improvement
  • Ensures quality of care through collaboration with staff, leadership, and providers
  • Implements and monitors performance improvement initiatives related to patient outcomes and safety
  • Reviews incidents and identifies system improvements
  • Utilizes quality tools to monitor, track, and trend patient care and program effectiveness
Staff Supervision & Development
  • Provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to staff
  • Participates in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring decisions
  • Assists with staff scheduling and adjusts staffing based on patient needs
  • Supports onboarding, orientation, and competency validation
  • Identifies learning needs and coordinates education with nursing leadership
Patient Experience
  • Promotes a positive, patient-centered care experience
  • Addresses patient and family concerns and feedback
  • Works to enhance satisfaction and therapeutic outcomes
Program Support & Collaboration
  • Collaborates with CNO, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and improve programming
  • Participates in shared governance and departmental initiatives
  • Supports program growth and development of neuromodulation services

Position Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience required; psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with ECT, Esketamine, or TMS preferred (or willingness to train)
  • BLS Certification required
  • Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing preferred
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 90% of shift)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
