Job Description
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a strategic finance leader responsible for enterprise-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across assigned business units. This role partners closely with executive leadership and operating department heads to deliver forward-looking financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes across assigned business areas.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership and operating executives, providing clear financial insights and recommendations.
- Perform detailed variance analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making.
- Evaluate capital investments, including ROI, payback, and post-implementation performance.
- Develop and present executive-ready financial analyses, dashboards, and materials for leadership and governance forums.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data, assumptions, and models.
- Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, reporting, and automation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A managers and analysts, establishing best-in-class analytical and reporting standards.
Qualifications
Skills & Technical Capabilities
- Advanced expertise in financial modeling, forecasting methodologies, and driver-based planning.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, business intelligence, and financial systems supporting enterprise decision-making.
- Experience leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence tools to improve forecast accuracy, productivity, and insight generation.
- Demonstrated judgment in interpreting AI-generated outputs, validating assumptions, and ensuring appropriate governance and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced credential strongly preferred.
- 7–10+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, data-rich, and highly collaborative environment.
