Operador planta de tratamiento de aguas – AGA Tepotzotlán

We are looking for a WWTP Shift Operator who will manage the full wastewater treatment process while supporting environmental compliance at our AGA Tepotzotlán plant. As you will be part of our operations team, you will help us ensure the proper operation of water treatment systems. These systems are located in a facility dedicated to the production of water-based paints, coatings, and waterproofing products.

You will work in rotating shifts, and as you will support day-to-day plant operations, flexibility will be key to your success. You will report directly to the supervisor and will not have direct reports, but you will work closely with operators, supervisors, and multiple departments across the plant. You will be an onsite role, located in Tepotzotlan State of Mexico.

We will rely on you to help us ensure compliance with environmental regulations, maintain operational continuity, and strengthen our sustainability goals through efficient water treatment and responsible waste management practices.

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Operate and control wastewater treatment systems, including MBR, physicochemical processes, and evaporators

  • Manage and monitor industrial and sanitary wastewater treatment, adjusting operations based on plant needs, system conditions, and water volumes.

  • Oversee water supply systems, including chlorination controls and service/process water equipment, as you will support plant operation.

  • Perform daily field inspections and plant walkthroughs, as you will review system conditions such as blowers, decanting processes, and water levels.

  • Record and track operational data using Excel and electronic logs, as we rely on accurate reporting to monitor performance and compliance.

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including labeling, storage, documentation, and regulatory compliance, as you will help us maintain safe operations.

  • Oversee waste handling areas and ensure disposal practices across the site.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers, as you will support maintenance and environmental-related activities across the plant.

  • Collaborate with different teams, as we will depend on your support to align environmental and production needs.

  • Operate equipment such as forklifts to support daily activities.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in industrial wastewater treatment operations or a similar environmental role.

  • Demonstrate knowledge or experience in industrial wastewater treatment systems (MBR, physicochemical, and evaporation processes preferred).

  • Show understanding of water treatment equipment, service systems, and chlorination controls, as you will be involved in their daily operation.

  • Be familiar with hazardous and non-hazardous waste management regulations and environmental compliance standards in Mexico.

  • Have basic skills in Excel and digital reporting tools, as you will manage and document operational data.

  • Be comfortable working in rotating shifts and adapting to operational demands.

  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and teamwork, as we will rely on your ownership.

#LI-Onsite We will discuss benefits such as salary, vacation premium, health insurance, and paid leave later in the interview process.
