Financial Analyst

Location: Pleasant Grove, UT
Compensation: $50,000 - $80,000 / year

As a Financial Analyst, you will provide insights and contribute to the financial success and strategic planning of Horrocks.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Assist in preparing financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning
- Assist in monthly project financial reviews
- Assist in contract/fee estimate financial reviews
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to Business Line Leadership and Executive Leadership Team for decision-making
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process by collaborating with corporate department heads to help establish and track progress on individual budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met on individual projects
- Consult project managers across the business on best practices for pricing/contracts
- Collaborate with project accountants on project budgets and project review findings
- Special projects, as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited university
- 0-2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry, a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Deltek and PowerBI, a plus
- Experience with GAAP accounting, ASC 606, a plus
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-Motivated
