Job Description

Your mission

Key Tasks
  • Perform structural and aerodynamic load analysis.
  • Develop, validate and maintain dynamic and aeroelastic models using CAMRAD II, FLIGHTLAB, Simulink, and NASTRAN.
  • Support structural test campaigns including static and dynamic testing, modal analysis, and Ground Vibration Testing (GVT).
  • Analyze vibration phenomena and contribute to the design and tuning of dampers and passive/active mitigation solutions.
  • Evaluate system stability in both low- and high-frequency domains.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-A-8866).
  • Support flight and ground test activities, including instrumentation definition and data analysis.
  • Interface with control systems engineers to integrate loads and dynamics considerations into flight control strategy.
  • Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and reports for internal use and qualification purposes.

Your profile

Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field, with a specialization in flight dynamics, structural dynamics, or aeroelasticity.
  • Hands-on experience with structural testing (static and dynamic), GVT, and vibration analysis.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as MATLAB, Simulink, FLIGHTLAB, CAMRAD II, and NASTRAN.
  • Strong understanding of helicopter aeromechanics, aeroelastic phenomena, and structural loads methodology.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards including DO-160 and relevant MIL-STD documents.
  • Experience in analyzing damping strategies and system stability for rotorcrafts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). German desirable.
  • Eligibility: Swiss or EU citizens only.
  • Location: On-site in Näfels | Bilten, Switzerland.
