Scrum Master Advisor
Position Overview
As a Technology Scrum Master Advisor, you will lead and coach multiple Agile teams in adopting and improving Scrum practices. You will serve as a servant leader, removing impediments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within Evernorth’s healthcare technology organization to drive high-performing, collaborative teams.
Responsibilities
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Coach teams on Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and values.
Remove impediments and escalate blockers to ensure team productivity.
Shield the team from external interruptions and scope changes during sprints.
Track and report on team velocity, sprint metrics, and delivery predictability.
Facilitate cross-team coordination, dependency management, and release planning.
Drive continuous improvement through retrospective action items and process enhancements.
Manage and develop team members, conducting performance reviews and career development.
Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog refinement and sprint prioritization.
Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and psychological safety.
Champion Agile transformation initiatives across the broader organization.
Manage stakeholder communications, status reporting, and program-level coordination.
Qualifications:
11 - 13 years of experience in Agile/Scrum roles with 3+ years as Scrum Master.
College degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification required.
Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Conflict resolution and negotiation capabilities.
Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
Understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
Servant leadership mindset with strong emotional intelligence.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience managing teams of 5-15 people.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
PMI-ACP or other advanced Agile certifications.
Healthcare technology domain experience.
Industry / Domain Experience Needed:
Demonstrated experience in Agile transformation and team leadership.
Ability to navigate a geographically diverse team and communicate effectively.
Familiarity with scaling Agile practices across multiple teams.
Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
Location & Hours of Work
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India.
