Direct accountability for the management and delivery of a portfolio of multiple technology projects in support of Global HR.
Develops strategies and executes on initiatives to move all geographies towards the global standard. Ensure that new initiatives have a global application, except as required to meet specific local regulatory requirements and are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Guide and mentor project managers from Project Delivery and Support (PD&S) team in the successful delivery of projects. Act as an SME on the Scotiabank Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF) for assigned project managers.
Monitor status of projects to ensure condition is accurately depicted and that major risks and issues are receiving the appropriate level of attention.
Oversees the completion of the monthly Project Status Reports and present to senior leadership including Business Sponsor, Project Leadership Team (PLT) and Steering Committee (as required).
The position requires solid understanding of technologies, project management and life cycle development methodologies, as well as technical insights pertaining to the area.
