Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled French–English Translator to support our pharmaceutical operations by delivering accurate, consistent, and regulatory-compliant translations. The ideal candidate will have experience translating scientific, clinical, and regulatory content within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector.
Location : Warren, New Jersey - Minimum 3 days a week on site
Salary Range : 108k - 115K
Key Responsibilities:
Translate documents and content from French to English and English to French with accuracy and clarity
Review and revise translations to ensure consistency, grammar, tone, and style alignment
Collaborate with the Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing/MSAT team to maintain and improve translation standards and guidelines
Perform proofreading and quality checks on translated materials
Assist in maintaining glossaries, style guides, and translation memories
Flag linguistic or content issues and suggest improvements
Meet deadlines while managing multiple translation tasks
Conduct quality checks, proofreading, and editing of translated materials
Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field
Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI)
Experience with clinical or regulatory documentation
Background in pharmacy, biology, or medicine
Minimum 1 year of experience with translation, localization, or proofreading
Familiarity with quality assurance processes in translation or content production
Native or near-native proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong understanding of medical and scientific terminology
Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Basic understanding of translation tools (CAT tools such as SDL Trados, memoQ, or similar is a plus)
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., EMA, FDA) is a plus
