Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end materials planning activities to support manufacturing operations, ensuring supply chain alignment with production schedules, customer demand and KPIs.
  • Execute daily purchasing strategies for assigned commodities including ordering, daily supplier engagement, delivery tracking and reporting to meet service and cost objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to resolve supply constraints and drive continuity of supply.
  • Analyze demand signals, forecast changes, and inventory trends to proactively mitigate risks and optimize working capital.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out activities to ensure seamless material availability.
  • Ensure compliance with GE HealthCare policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, including documentation and audit readiness.
  • Utilize ERP systems and digital tools to maintain data integrity and provide visibility into material status, risks, and opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college, or minimum of 4+ years of experience in materials planning, buying, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in medical device or highly regulated industries.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Maestro) and strong data analysis capabilities.
