Position: AUTOMATION SPECIALIST (TIVOLI)
Navaide is seeking an SAP Automation Specialist with hands-on experience in IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler or equivalent job scheduling tools to support a Department of Defense contract. The candidate will be responsible for automating SAP batch jobs, monitoring scheduled processes, and ensuring the stability and reliability of automated workflows within the Navy ERP environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Configure, schedule, and monitor automated batch jobs within the SAP environment using IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler or equivalent automation tooling
• Develop and maintain job scheduling documentation, run books, and standard operating procedures
• Coordinate with Basis, functional, and infrastructure teams to ensure batch job dependencies and sequencing are accurate
• Identify and resolve automation failures, job abends, and scheduling conflicts in a timely manner
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end automated processing cycles
• Provide recommendations for automation improvements to reduce manual intervention and processing risk
• Participate in testing activities for new job streams, system upgrades, and release deployments
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of SAP experience with direct exposure to batch job scheduling and automation
• Hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Control-M, or equivalent enterprise job scheduling tools
• Understanding of SAP background job management (SM36, SM37) and process chain management
• Experience in DoD or Navy ERP environments preferred
• Eligibility for and willingness to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM for job monitoring
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting in support of job automation
• Navy ERP program experience
Certifications
• SAP Certified Technology Associate preferred
• ITIL Foundation a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered
