Position: INFRASTRUCTURE DBA / SOLUTION ARCHITECT – LEVEL I (DMS)
Navaide is seeking a Database Management Specialist to provide specialized database administration and solution design support within the NETSS 2 SAP environment. This role focuses on database management, query optimization, data integrity, and supporting the broader infrastructure and architecture team in maintaining a stable and performant SAP HANA environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Perform database administration tasks including monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery for SAP HANA
• Evaluate and recommend database configurations to support validated user and program requirements
• Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for SAP data environments
• Monitor database usage, statistics, and performance and implement corrective actions
• Support data migration, system refresh, and data archiving activities
• Develop and maintain database administration documentation and run books
• Coordinate with Basis, security, and functional teams on data-related issues and enhancements
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of database management experience in an SAP environment
• Hands-on SAP HANA database administration
• Experience with data modeling, indexing, and performance optimization in SAP landscapes
• Familiarity with SAP data migration tools such as LSMW, BODS, or equivalent
• Eligibility for and willingness to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• Navy ERP or DoD program database experience
• S/4HANA database architecture experience
• Experience with SAP Data Services or SAP Data Intelligence
Certifications
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – Database Administration (SAP HANA) preferred
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or comparable work experience
