We’re looking for a Program Manager to lead our Skilled Trades Academy at Fort Belvoir—someone who can build relationships, drive outcomes, and create real opportunities for the military community. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to see their work translate into jobs, careers, and long-term success for others.
What You’ll Own?
- You won’t just manage a program—you’ll shape it.
- Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for the Skilled Trades Academy
- Translate national goals into local programming, partnerships, and results
- Build and grow employer relationships across skilled trades industries
- Identify new growth opportunities (industries, training pathways, cohorts)
- Plan and host events that connect participants with employers
- Deliver briefings and webinars to drive program awareness and enrollment
- Oversee training providers to ensure high-quality participant experiences
- Support participants throughout their journey—from application to placement
- Track outcomes, measure success, and continuously improve the program
- Create clear, executive-ready updates and impact storytelling
What You Bring:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or workforce programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
- Comfort using AI tools to increase efficiency and productivity
- Professionalism, adaptability, and a self-starter mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and virtual platforms
- Experience working with the military community or transition programs
- Familiarity with DoD SkillBridge
- Exposure to skilled trades (union or non-union environments)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

This role is employed by Markham and supports Hiring Our Heroes programming, combining mission-driven work with the operational strength of a full-service team.

This role requires regular in-person presence at Fort Belvoir; candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to support on-site program delivery and operations.
