Back to jobsDisbursement Account (D/A) Management: Review and process port-related expenses (Pilotage, Tug-age, Wharfage) and Stevedoring costs submitted by sub-agents or vendors.
Expense Control: Audit employee reimbursements and corporate card expenses in compliance with company policy and local tax laws.
Month-end Closing: Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of VAT filing data and ensure withholding tax is correctly applied to foreign vendor payments.
Intercompany Reconciliation: Reconcile balances with the Head Office and other overseas branches (Inter-office billing).
Specific Language & Technical Skills:
English: Must be able to explain Korean tax/accounting specifics (e.g., why a certain expense is non-deductible) to HQ Finance managers in English.
Accounting Standards: Familiarity with K-GAAP and IFRS (specifically regarding Lease accounting or FX valuation).
