Description
Are you passionate about animal care and looking for hands-on experience in a veterinary or boarding environment? We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Seasonal Kennel Technician to join our team during our busiest seasons. This temporary opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in veterinary medicine, animal welfare, pet boarding, or kennel operations.
As a Seasonal Kennel Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the health, comfort, and cleanliness of pets staying in our facility. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented position that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a genuine love for animals.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Feed, water, and provide daily care for boarding animals
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, runs, and common areas
- Walk dogs and monitor animal behavior and overall well-being
- Provide enrichment activities and comfort to pets during their stay
- Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior
- Assist with bathing and basic grooming duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kennel environment
- Support veterinary and boarding staff with daily tasks
What You'll Bring:
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working around dogs, cats, and other animals
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous kennel, boarding, veterinary, or animal care experience is a plus, but not required
