Specialist - Secondary Curriculum - Math

Primary Purpose:

Evaluate and provide leadership for the overall curriculum programs of the district, specifically Math. Assist in evaluating and managing instructional programs and operations at campus and district level. Proved leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Assist with effective and efficient operations of the curriculum and instruction department which includes curriculum, staff development, and assessment. 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree (Masters Preferred)
• Valid Teaching Certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Through knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Knowledge of teacher and leadership development.
• Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness.,
• Ability to identify needed training and coordinate staff development.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

 Experience (Preferred):

• A minimum of three years teaching experience.
• Delivery of professional development at both teacher and administrative levels.
• Working knowledge with curriculum development and monitoring.
• Training in the development of instructional coaches/intervention teachers.
