Medical Support Veterinary Assistant
Location: Lethbridge, AB
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal care? We are looking for a Pharmacy & Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!
This is a unique role that combines pharmacy responsibilities with hands-on veterinary support. The ideal candidate enjoys working behind the scenes to keep patient care running smoothly while also building positive relationships with clients and their pets.
What You'll Do
As a Pharmacy & Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians and support team to provide exceptional patient and client care. Responsibilities include:
Assisting veterinarians with medical records and note entry
Preparing and processing prescriptions
Managing pharmacy inventory and organization
Billing and invoicing client visits and treatments
Assisting with patient restraint during examinations and procedures
Supporting client communication and patient care
Maintaining accurate medical and pharmacy records
Providing reception coverage as needed
Collaborating with veterinarians, RVTs, Client Care Specialists, and Veterinary Assistants to ensure smooth daily operations

Passionate about providing exceptional client service and patient care
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pharmacy experience (human or veterinary)
Experience working in a veterinary clinic
Experience with medical documentation or record keeping
Client service or reception experience
Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats

This position is a dedicated support role designed to help our veterinarians and medical team provide efficient, high-quality patient care. While the primary focus is pharmacy and medical support, team members will receive cross-training in reception and veterinary assistant duties to provide occasional relief coverage when needed.
