Job Description
[What the role is]
We would like to invite an independent and self-motivated individual who has keen interest in contributing to the growth of a trusted and innovative environment for Singapore’s data economy and society, and the enhancement of Singapore’s international standing as a trusted data hub to join the Data Innovation & Protection Group (DIPG).[What you will be working on]
- Research emerging technologies, system vulnerabilities, and technology risks relevant to the regulator, including areas such as AI and quantum technologies.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure they are safe, reliable, and useful and present and recommend findings to internal teams.
- Identify, design and build simple prototypes to test or demonstrate new technologies and evaluation methods.
- Develop clear explainers, guides, and materials that translate technical work into practical advice for internal stakeholders and organisations.
- Manage data breach investigations to identify system failures, technical gaps, and possible negligence.
- Review and understand digital forensic findings, then present clear recommendations to internal stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
- 3 to 7 years of experience in privacy, data security, software engineering, data science and/or analytics
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields.
- Knowledge of and interest in emerging technology and cybersecurity threats and trends
- Advanced technical certifications (e.g., CSPO, CHFI, SANS Cybersecurity, CIPT, CDPSE) would be highly advantageous
- Fresh graduates with relevant academic background, internships, or project experience are encouraged to apply
