GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Health Promotion Wellness Initiatives Lead supports the alignment and communication of wellness and population health initiatives across the Clinical Affairs and Marketing Corporate Communications departments. This role serves as a liaison between both areas to ensure wellness messaging and member-facing initiatives are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with organizational objectives. The position provides strategic guidance for wellness communications, campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration efforts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Lead the alignment of wellness and population health communication initiatives with organizational goals and corporate wellness objectives. • Serve as the primary liaison between Health Promotion Wellness unit and Marketing Corporate Communications department to support effective coordination of wellness initiatives. • Support the development and alignment of member-facing and internal wellness campaigns across communication channels. • Review wellness communication materials to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational standards and health literacy principles. • Ensure wellness messaging is supported by scientific evidence, population health data, and recognized healthcare guidelines. • Provide strategic input regarding wellness priorities, preventive health topics, and communication approaches. • Establish communication guidelines and benchmarks for wellness-related content and initiatives. Evaluate wellness-related content developed across departments to ensure consistency and scientific accuracy. • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration related to wellness communications, campaigns, and educational initiatives. • Support the integration of plain language and culturally appropriate communication practices in wellness materials. • Monitor wellness communication efforts and recommend opportunities for process improvement and strategic enhancement. • Serve as an internal resource regarding wellness communication standards, evidence-based practices, and health promotion initiatives. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: • Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices. • May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education, Public Health, Nutrition, Communications, or related discipline. At least five (5) years of experience in the design and implementation of health and wellness interventions and educational materials. “Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements.” Certifications / Licenses: A valid Health Educator License from the Puerto Rico Department of Health and/or a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential are considered a plus.
