Study Operations Regulatory Compliance: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab activities. Manage and prepare Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, modifications, and continuing reviews. Ensure compliance with study protocols, human subjects protections, and institutional policies. Organize and track data use agreements (DUAs) and support data acquisition for ongoing and planned grant submissions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory documentation and study records. Compensate participants, manage lab finances, and obtain and regularly replenish operational advances. Participant Recruitment Community Engagement: Lead and support participant recruitment efforts, including community-based outreach (e.g., tabling events during evenings and weekends). Coordinate recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team. Serve as a primary point of contact for participant communication and scheduling. Data Collection Management: Collect participant data across modalities, including qualitative interviews in Spanish and English, survey-based measures, and biometric assessments during the work week and potentially on weekends and evenings. Develop and program surveys using platforms such as Qualtrics and REDCap. Oversee data quality assurance procedures, including data entry, cleaning, and secure data management. Ensure responsive, respectful, and effective engagement with a wide range of communities. Team Coordination Training: Train, supervise, and coordinate undergraduate and/or graduate research assistants. Develop and manage data collection schedules, particularly for field-based research activities. Foster a collaborative and organized lab environment that supports research productivity. Scholarly Activities: Contribute to academic manuscripts, including drafting sections and supporting revisions. Assist with ongoing systematic and/or scoping reviews, including literature screening and data extraction. Collaborate closely with the PI and trainees on manuscript development and dissemination of findings. Project Management Collaboration: Work closely with the PI and research team to support day-to-day project operations, timelines, and deliverables. Assist in coordinating multiple concurrent studies and ensuring milestones are met. Support grant development activities, including preliminary data preparation and organizational support. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items. Manage lab communications (e.g., email lists, shared drives, project trackers).
