Job Description

Run field study in remote parts of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico to consent participants to complete a demographic and risk factor survey and provide UBT, fecal and water samples. The UBT will be run in-house, but fecal and water samples must be sent to an external laboratory. With the hot climate of Southern Arizona, this can include being out in extremely hot temperatures. The successful candidate will also need to be able to navigate uneven drive ways and stairs to reach potential participant homes. Once the data have been collected, perform descriptive epidemiological analysis of the data. These data serve as both a potential manuscript to be prepared by the Post-Doc and pilot data which contribute to a grant proposal which is being prepared by the team. Support graduate and undergraduate students on the team with their analysis, specifically an ongoing scoping review. Expertise in the etiology of gastric cancer is beneficial. Actively participate in team meetings (at least weekly) to support other projects and the general direction of the group. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytic, writing and presentation skills. Skilled with translational science background.
