Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the set-up, operation, testing, and troubleshooting of production equipment
- Support the assembly, installation, and modification of machinery and mechanical components
- Monitor equipment performance and collect data related to calibration, inspection, and repairs
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and adjustments to maintain equipment performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
- Use manual and powered hand tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering replacement components
- Partner with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Develop knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or hands-on experience in manufacturing or mechanical maintenance preferred
- Basic experience with tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Ability to read technical documents such as manuals, schematics, and prints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
- Basic math skills (including decimals and fractions)
- Familiarity with production machinery or testing equipment is a plus
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
