Job Description
Pharmacy Manager, Outpatient Pharmacy
Hours Monday to Friday 9-5:30 with possible weekends and holidays
The pharmacy manager will be the pharmacist-in-charge of the outpatient pharmacy and coordinator of the 340b program and will work under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy.
The pharmacist will:
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate counseling
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Review and interpret prescription orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and interactions
• Supervise other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Oversee and manage the pharmacy's inventory
• Comply with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
• Provide information to customers regarding over-the-counter medications and health-related products
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
• Ensure compliance with HRSA regulations, preventing duplicate discounts, and maintaining audit readiness.
• Manage 340B pharmacy operations, including inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Maximize savings while maintaining program integrity.
• Develop 340B policies, procedures, and staff training materials.
• Complete annual HRSA recertification and register new sites.
Requirements and Skills
• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• 340b pharmacy experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and technology
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
