This position is available as full-time, part-time or per diem. Conduct specialized echocardiograms to diagnose and monitor heart structure, function, and blood flow in fetuses, children, and adults with structural abnormalities Perform vascular and echocardiography procedures following accepted protocol and utilize clinical symptoms and data to aid in preliminary diagnosis. Provide Cardiologist with all pertinent clinical information to aid in the interpretation and diagnosis of echocardiography procedures. Perform complete and limited pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) according to established protocol. Obtain accurate 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and Color Flow imaging. Image patients across all care environments, including outpatient clinics, wards, NICU, PICU, and emergency departments. Adjust and optimize ultrasound settings for neonates, infants, and children of varying sizes and conditions. Support fetal echocardiography exams by assisting or performing scans depending on training and program needs. Assist with pediatric transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures, including probe care and room preparation (if required by the lab). Ensure all procedures are performed and properly documented according to department and hospital standards. Communicate with Emergency Room, Nursing Units, Clinics and Physicians and their office staff in a competent and professional manner. Maintain a high level of technical proficiency by staying up to date in current advances in vascular and echocardiography ultrasound.
