Job Description

Ensure all images are properly labeled with patient identification, correct side being imaged and technologist identification according to ACR and MQSA standards. Obtain a complete patient medical history as it pertains to breast health and documents the information in the Radiology Information System's mammography history section. Maintain a current knowledge of ACR and MQSA mammography standards to provide assistance to the Mammography Manager during the accreditation process. Correctly position patient and accurately produces mammograms according to physician's specifications with 97-100% accuracy. Perform and assist radiologist during mammography procedures including needle localizations, stereotactic and MRI guided breast biopsies. Prepare patient for screening, diagnostic and interventional mammography and DEXA procedures, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
