Job Description
We are strengthening our External Labour and Facilities team with a new Sourcing manager position. In this role, you will work as a Sourcing manager driving change in our organization, driving sourcing projects, negotiating supplier contracts, and building stakeholder and supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing to Maximize Value & Minimize Waste
- Executing strategic change, focus on external labour.
- Executing strategic sourcing projects, focus on external labour.
- Drive early involvement in sourcing process, co-creating a forward-looking sourcing pipeline.
- Negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- Deliver measurable cost reduction and cost avoidance across external spend.
- Identify and execute cashflow optimization opportunities, including payment term improvements and P2P compliance.
- Actively seeking new opportunities for sourcing pipeline.
Supplier Strategy & Delivery Enablement
- Act as a supplier manager towards designated suppliers.
- Drive and develop strategic supplier relationships in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Contributing to overall team performance as active member of the sourcing team.
- Drive commercial optimization projects, including:
- Renegotiation of key contracts
- Supplier consolidation and demand management
- Contribute to sourcing category strategies.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to sourcing policies, contracting standards, and PO compliance.
- Strengthen governance across sourcing processes and supplier engagements.
- Drive data-driven decision making through analytics, reporting, and market intelligence.
Your new team and leader
We operate as one, integrated Sourcing team. In this role you will report to Head of External Labour and Facilities Sourcing, Karri Virkajärvi.
Personality & working style
You are an engaging and business-minded sourcing professional with 5+ years of strategic sourcing and change management experience and have a proven track record of driving change projects, negotiating significant sourcing projects and supplier management to ensure execution of the negotiated deal. You are:
- Doer who has bias for action & delivering impact – highly structured way-of-working, impact-oriented approach and independent (self-starter) working style.
- Influencing and presenting skills – you have ability to communicate effectively both with executives and specialists and genuine desire & ability to deliver business impact to the company.
- Highly analytical & fact-based – you can both see the big picture, identify long term trends and to drill down to drivers when needed. You use data to drive real business benefits and bring speed to decision making and execution.
- Result oriented project manager - Being able to identify new opportunities to create impact, prioritize the work and secure successful implementation of these projects.
- Highly skilled in negotiation, indirect influencing and selling ideas in complex matrix organizations.
- Team player who can contribute to teamwork, also in areas outside of own direct responsibilities.
Experience & education
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing and change management experience with a proven track record of driving change projects, negotiating significant sourcing projects, and managing global suppliers.
- Experience in external labour category, including delivery and business models is preferred.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Experience in building and managing stakeholder and supplier relationship to maximize value.
- Experience of managing spend and using TCO (total cost of ownership) to minimize waste.
- Experience from working in international organization with complex business models and matrix organization.
- M.Sc. from relevant field.
- Fully proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
