TAA - Teacher on Administrative Assignment
JOB DESCRIPTION
The TAA assists in creating conditions to ensure that all students acquire essential knowledge, skills and dispositions. In order to achieve this purpose, this document outlines the minimal competencies and characteristics that a candidate must develop. The TAA reports to the Elementary Principal.
KNOWLEDGE
Candidates are expected to have an understanding in each of the following areas:

- Specific knowledge is needed in student and staff supervision, as well as addressing student misbehavior

OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Other duties as assigned.
- In-person daily attendance.
- Some travel may be required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Be fingerprinted and clear a criminal background check.
- Education: Must have an Administrative certificate. Master's in Educational Leadership is preferred
- Experience: Education related experience is required. Teaching experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS---Not limited to the following:
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
- Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 30% walking and 20% standing. The job is performed under temperature variations depending on the season and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
