QUALIFICATIONS: - Education and Experience: (Minimum Level of Education and Experience Required)
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Minimum Competencies for Job Performance)
| High school diploma or equivalent with post-secondary education preferred - Demonstrated computer proficiency in word processing, database, spreadsheets and date entry
- Ability to accurately enter student and staff data in multiple systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work independently with people of all ages in a respectful and confidential manner
- Communicate clearly in English using proper grammar and vocabulary.

JOB GOAL: Assist the activities director in providing for the needs of their staff, students, parents/guardians, and the general public in regards to co-curricular offerings.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
30% | Activity/Event Management - Assume the responsibility for finding and assigning event workers such as ticket takers, supervisors, clock operators, lower level officials, and other related positions
- Process payment for workers of athletic events
- Develop event programs for athletic teams for varsity contests
- Order stock and organize concession stands and workers
- Occasionally help with the setup of events

20% | Student/Staff Support Services - Assist with processing student eligibility
- Maintain records of all high school activities including award winners and scholarships.
- Conduct student registration for all activities including receiving activity fee payments, processing physicals, and establishing Minnesota State High School League master eligibility lists.

50% | Activities Office Management - Assist in the processing of all rules violations which may include maintaining records, notifying parents and coaches.
- Processing awards and certificates
- Process all student activity transportation requests.
- Assume responsibility for secretarial duties for the Activities Director.
- Schedule and prepare payment for all personnel working at middle and high school activities.
- Prepare and process tickets, receipts, and cash boxes for home activities when a ticket fee is charged.
- Assist in scheduling facilities and fine-arts programs
- Assume responsibility for the student activities account including the account balance, check requests, money deposits, and transfers. Sends copies of deposit slips and reconciliation reports to the district office.
- Assist with the organizing handing out and return of jerseys and storage

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Light to moderate degree of physical stamina and occasional lifting up to 25
lbs.
- Ability to sit for a portion of time, but will involve standing, walking, and
bending.
- Ability to hear the telephone ring and to hear and respond to questions from
visitors and callers.
- Ability to use the telephone, computer, and other office equipment for
extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position functions in a workplace that has a variety of noise levels at times
- Normal office conditions
- Occasional exposure to childhood and adult diseases and illnesses
