Title I Paraprofessional Educator
South Elementary School - 6.75 hours per day
This position provides Kindergarten and First Grade Students reading and math support within the classroom setting. Title Paraprofessional will be working under the direction of a licensed teacher in smalll groups or a one on one setting.
Other duties include some playground and recess duties as well as before or after school traffic support responsibilities.
Pay range: minimum $20.65-22.95 per hour based on experience and education
Position open until filled.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Two years post-secondary education preferred or must pass the Parapeducator Assessments
Assignment = 169 Total Days: 5.5 hours classroom/assessment + 1.25 extra duties (recess + drop-off or pick-up)
- 145 Classroom Days
- 15 Assessing days
- 9 "Extra Duties" Only
- 5 early release days (1.75 hours)
- 2 beginning of the year (1.75 hours)
- 1 end of year (1.75 hours)
- Paid Holidays: Good Friday, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
