KidsCare Summer Program Lead Teacher

Minimum Requirements: 
There are no minimum requirements for this position. 

Desired Qualifications: 
Proven success working with elementary school students (including behavior management and curriculum implementation);
In progress or completed associate or bachelor's degree in child development, recreation, human services or related field preferred;
Experience/skills working collaboratively with other adults;
Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification.

Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
Summer Program Lead Teachers are expected to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (program hours). Shifts are scheduled from 7:30-4:30, 8:00-5:00., and 8:30-5:30 with a one hour lunch (typically 40 hours per week). This is a seven week program that begins 7/6 and ends on 8/21. Lead Teachers will need to be available full time during this time period. 
Lead Teachers are required to display enthusiasm for working with school-aged children;
Develop and implement hands-on, engaging activities for elementary aged children;
Communicate effectively with children, parents, building personnel, and program staff; 
Direct the work of program assistants/aides/volunteers;
Follow emergency procedures if required;
