Direct Care Worker

 

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide high-quality support to our clients in Southfield, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities and promoting their independence and well-being in a respectful and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as directed.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping duties.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities when required.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisory staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance client quality of life.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset, but NOT required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to pass background checks.
