Assistant Accountant - Temp to Perm Opening
- Responsible for supporting accounting activities, such as:
- Maintaining and organizing accounting documents for the collections department.
- Daily preparation of cash deposits and filling out cash control ledger daily reconciling with bank statements.
- Answering customer and management inquiries related to payment application and collection.
- Updating the account’s ledgers and, in case of any discrepancies, investigating variances to correct the problems.
- Manage collections for some accounts by preparing account statements and sending them to customers, as well as following up with them on any past due amounts by providing the necessary documentation.
- Supporting the billing department when necessary.
- Support the Accounting Management staff, as required, in other accounting areas such as:
- Assist in the maintenance of financial records and in the completion of accounting reports.
- Examine and analyze accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports.
- Manage such activities as verifying records of transactions, receiving and disbursing money; computing and verifying amounts, preparing records, combining data and performing computations to create statistical records, computing costs, verifying bills, invoices, rates, and amounts due.
- Audit records, prepares, or verifies bills, invoices, and rates.
- Assist in analyzing past and present financial operations and future estimates, as required.
- Analyze records of present and past operations, trends, and costs, estimated, and realized revenues, administrative commitments and obligations incurred, as required.
- Conduct assigned steps in accounting analysis, such as computing standard ratios, assembling and summarizing accounting literature on a given subject.
- Handle bi-lingual Spanish accounting communication needs (to company management (English/Japanese) relative to accounting business-related activities.
