
Physics and HS Upper Level Math- Secondary Classroom Teacher (1.0 FTE) International Community School 2026-2027
Job Description
International Community School (within the Juanita Learning Community) is looking for qualified HS Physics/Math teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is a 1.0 FTE position. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
ICS is a secondary 6-12 school where teachers may teach both MS and HS students. The position entails teaching HS Physics and Algebra and/or Geometry during the 2026-27 school year. During the subsequent school year (2027-28) this position will include teaching International Baccalaureate Physics and IB Math Analysis and Approaches (higher level course work including calculus). Whomever is hired will be required to attend IB training and develop the IB Physics course for implementation in 2027-28. Additionally, ICS has overnight student experiences with Camp Phoenix in the fall and Focus Week in the spring semesters. Teachers at ICS also support IB students in grades 11 and 12 through Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service components of the IB Diploma Core.
Qualifications: Certification/License: Washington State teaching certificate with HS physics and HS mathematics endorsements. Preferred qualification would include additional certification in biology, chemistry and/or previous IB teaching/training.
Salary: Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
