Generic - Substitute Custodian

Salary Range: 12.65 per/Hour
Shift Type: Part-Time

Description: Mesquite ISD is looking for candidates for Substitute Custodial (Part-time) positions. Substitute custodians will maintain cleaning schedules to include sanitizing classrooms/restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows/mirrors and cleaning furniture/equipment.

Substitute custodians must demonstrate availability to accept assignments on a daily and long term basis. Substitute custodians must demonstrate availability to work shifts of approximately 20 hours per week (possibly up to 40 hours per week).

Hours vary according to assignment.
Typical hours are as follows:
Day shift: 6:30am to 2:30pm
Evening shift: 4:00pm to 10:30pm
 

Substitute custodians must have transportation to and from daily assignments.
 

Qualifications: 

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• have the ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures.
• exhibit effective and positive communication with school personnel and the public.
• display dependability and punctuality.
