ACCEL Schools is seeking a passionate, student-centered 6th Grade Teacher to join Inkster Preparatory Academy in Inkster, Michigan! About the Opportunity

As a 6th Grade Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging daily lessons�and adjust instruction as needed.
• Differentiate teaching to support diverse learners and learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Use research-based instructional strategies in your classroom practice.
• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment focused on learning.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology to enhance learning and student engagement.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

About You

You are a strong fit for this role if you:

• Hold an active Michigan teaching license in the appropriate grade/content area.
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Are able to supervise students in various school settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.).
• Can pass federal and state background checks.
• Bring experience working in diverse or urban school environments (preferred).
