Secretary to Elementary Principal
Job Description
Job Summary:
- Coordinates the flow of information from the principal to students, staff and the community
- Coordinates the operation of the school office, including overseeing the work of the clerical staff
- Prepares reports, correspondence, newsletters, evaluations, and requisitions, etc.
- Maintains accurate records of employee attendance and payroll
- Maintains accurate records of budget accounts and an efficient filing system
- Prepares and transmits required reports such as payroll, health, accident, building usages, employee attendance, immunization, etc.
- Orders and maintains office and building supplies
- Keeps accurate records of supply accounts balances
- Maintains student educational, attendance and child accounting records
- Supervises school clinic, aiding students who visit clinic and contacting the appropriate teacher, administrator, and /or parent as appropriate
- Responsible for confidential and sensitive materials
- Complete basic medical procedures including diabetes care, epipen injections, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications and Google Applications
- Experience with Mistar preferred
- Finance and budgeting experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, computation and spelling skills
- Working knowledge of basic office procedure and the operation of common office machines
- Demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers, students, and the public
- Outstanding communications and customer service skills required.
- Previous school experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
E-1, $18.57-$24.97/Hour, 10.25 month position; Start date: August 2026
