Summary of position:
Assist with the administrative operations of the Head Start Program across all component areas.
Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Answer phones in a professional manner; take and relay messages.
- Maintain personnel data within the software system as required by the program.
- Complete required data entry for students and staff into various program, state, and federal software systems as required.
- Support program leadership with hiring, onboarding, and exiting processes, such as preparing paperwork, inputting data, scheduling appointments, and completing necessary forms.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, using Outlook and other MS Office applications. Update and maintain Head Start contact information lists and distribute to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in a business-related field or high school diploma/G.E.D., plus 4 years experience in a related field.
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of office procedures, including but not limited to: information filing, organization, and management processes.
Schedule:
Full-time, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 35 hours/week, 12 months/year
Salary:
Starting at $22.37/hour Per Head Start Salary Scale
