QUALIFICATIONS:
- Administrative Certificate required or willingness to enroll in an MDE approved program to achieve Administrative Certificate within 6 months of accepting position
- Master's Degree
- Must hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Minimum five years successful teaching experience.
- Minimum three years successful administrative experience preferably at the high school level
- Ability to effectively solve problems
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Willingness and ability to work at evening and weekend school related events as required
- Ability to effectively supervise staff
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and PLCs
- Experience leading improvement in the area of MTSS, MICIP, and PLCs
- Excellent ability to relate to students, parents, staff, administration, and community
- Willingness and ability to assume instructional leadership role
- Outstanding role model attributes
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation of the facility in which the high school program is housed
- The organization and supervision of all high school staff
- Leadership for curricular and extra-curricular program development
- Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance
- Direct and implement school improvement at the building level
- Assignment, placement, and supervision of students in a high school with an enrollment of approximately 1,600 students
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience and training
