EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026/2027 School Year

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be certified to teach in the state of Michigan and possess one or more of the following endorsements (*currently allowed by MDE due to staffing shortage flexibility rules):

  • ZG - Elementary K-5 all subjects [K-8 All Subjects Self Contained Classroom]
  • ZP - Upper Elementary, 3-6 grade, Education
  • ZC - K-8 All Subjects
  • ZE - General Elementary K-6
  • ZO* - Lower Elementary Education [PK-3]
  • BQ* - English Language Arts [5-9 only]
  • EQ* - Mathematics [5-9 only]
  • DQ* - Science [5-9 only]
  • CQ* - Social Studies [5-9 only]

     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction
  • Willing to collaborate with teaching partner/grade-level colleagues
  • Have a strong desire to work with elementary school aged students and their parents
  • Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff development and curriculum development
  • Be willing to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction
  • Be open to continuous change
  • Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

     


SALARY: Per DEA Master Agreement


DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Building Principal
