Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Cafeteria Security Aide for Snowhill Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Cafe Security Aide you are required to:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education
As a Cafe Security Aide you will:
- Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria
- Assist with decorations of the cafeteria, especially to reinforce good behavior and eating habits
- Assisting staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat. This may at times include the picking up of litter and helping wipe tables
- Ability to operate cafeteria tables and assists in folding and moving tables as needed
- Carries out established behavior modification programs
- Assist with recordkeeping functions when deemed necessary. This may be in the school office when cafeteria duties completed
- Participating and supervising during emergency preparedness drills
- Assisting with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 2.5 hours per day, 188 days per year.
Monday - Friday 10:50am - 1:20pm or as assigned
Starting salary is $20.19 per hour
