Contract Days: 183
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Salary: Starting at $53,445.00 (commensurate with education and experience)

Qualifications:
- Must have and maintain a valid Professional Pupil Services license specializing in School Counseling issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
- Must obtain and maintain Child Abuse Awareness training within the first two years of employment.
- Must obtain and maintain all State and Federal required certifications and training.
- Meet the legal requirements relative to a criminal background check.
- Must uphold the ASCA ethical and professional standards.
General Description:
A Professional School Counselor provides direct and indirect services in support of students' academic, career and social/emotional development. School Counselors develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs that promote and enhance student success by helping guide students toward success in education and their future careers. They also must effectively communicate as they work to connect students, school staff, families and community partners in collaborative efforts to help students realize their potential and meet their academic goals. Their standards and evaluation system reflect the 21st-century roles and responsibilities of Ohio's school counselors.
